Newmarket International’s Ed Dev department pulls out all the stops and donates nearly 20,000 square metres for DevLearn08 attendees.

This sandbox allows Guild members to build for up to four hours at a time (just take a copy of your creations into your inventory, it’s like saving frequently).

So come take advantage of this and build a set and try your hand at filming. See you at DevLearn08 Session 708!

These tools work both in the real world meetings and in virtual worlds.  The DemoFest submission leverages illustrative materials created for our presentation.  And delivers it in both a mobile format for the real world and free within Second Life.

And we are not so concerned about the videos getting passed around.  In fact, all videos will be viewable for free in Second Life.

So it looks like we will use a digital download type storefront for this.  This allows the learner to purchase the video and deploy it to their mobile device.  The price point is such that it should be available to most people at a modest price ($14.95?).

We are also thinking of offering these in a “branded” version.  So for more money, you would get your logo and/or company name added to these if you wanted to add them to your training library.  The additional cost also extends the license for corporate use ($94.95?).
